I'm Vaish, and I'm just your average twenty-something year old girl trying to do what my mother refused to teach me as a kid: learn how to cook. Growing up, my kick-ass Indian food making mom insisted that us kids stay out of the kitchen. To be fair, my mom was a teacher by day. So coming home to more long and messy lessons in the kitchen probably wasn't her cup of tea. I am a medical student by day, but moving over a 1000 miles away from my home in Orlando, Florida to St. Louis, Missouri has forced me to graduate from my days of reheating home cooked meals and become a self-taught culinary student.
