My Very Educated Mother is part of a mnemonic device I learned as a child to remember the planets in order from the sun. The complete statement went, My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas. Of course, since Pluto's fall from planet status, kids are left with Nothing...or maybe Noodles? Now that I’ve explained where my blog name came from here’s a little more about me. I'm Erin, a homeschooling mother of three. When I'm not busy with my little scholars I like to spend my time creating, designing, and well, making things. Because I am a stay-at-home mother, on a limited budget, most of my creations involve upcycling, recycling, repurposing, and looking for the creative potential in the ordinary.
