Manager of Publisher Development

BlogFrog is seeking an Manager of Publisher Development to evangelize, develop and execute a scalable publisher development process to aggressively recruit the web’s most influential bloggers for our network.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a deep and broad understanding of the blogosphere – its trends, trajectory and value proposition for its users
  • Has superior project management skills
  • Is a strategic user of social media including Twitter, Facebook
  • Is strongly process driven and has demonstrated the ability to manage non-linear projects with multiple components/steps
  • Has demonstrated an ability to seek, listen, educate and persuade
  • Has superior written communication skills
  • Has a demonstrated ability to create and deliver powerful presentations, messaging and marketing collateral for one-to-many projects

Specifically, you will:

  • Create and manage a scalable, on-boarding process including blogger identification, training and retention program to promote the growth of BlogFrog publisher communities
  • Prospect and develop new blog community owner relationships
  • Expand BlogFrog’s base of blog communities into new target verticals
  • Support top tier bloggers to help them create, grow and monetize their BlogFrog communities
  • Assist the BlogFrog account management team in identification and engagement of bloggers for appropriate brand campaigns
  • Grow and lead a publisher development support team

Skills & Experience:

To excel in the role of Manager of Publisher Services, an ideal candidate would:

  • Have a BA in Marketing or equivalent experience in the marketing space, including an understanding of core marketing principles
  • Have advertising, client services, or high level account management experience (in the social media space preferably)
  • Have some successful direct sales experience
  • Have team leadership experience
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Be extremely organized, detail oriented, customer support focused and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Sales Lead

BlogFrog is seeking a motivated, energized, fast-learner to sell online engagements to brands and agencies.

What you'll be doing:

  • First and foremost, listening to brands and agencies about what they wish to acheive online
  • Presenting brands and agencies with BlogFrog's existing offerings and helping to define and package new offerings
  • Building and presenting sales pitches and sales collateral
  • Responding to RFP's received from agencies
  • Managing all leads and opportunities in the sales funnel
  • Defining stages and probabilities for each engagement point in the sales funnel
  • Building and documenting a replicable sales process
  • Attending industry conferences

The ideal candidate will already be able to:

  • Build relationships quickly
  • Think creatively
  • Assemble an ROI business case

Account Manager - Client Services

BlogFrog is looking to hire an Account Manager to help manage the launch and ongoing maintenance of brand-sponsored communities.

Job Description & Requirements:

  • Manage communications, expectations, deadlines and deliverables for major household consumer brand clients
  • Manage the participation and performance of influential bloggers who serve as partners to brand campaigns
  • Manage a tactical schedule of pre and post-launch activities
  • Plan, execute, manage and track brand-related campaigns and promotions
  • Interface with BlogFrog’s designers and engineering support to execute launch requirements
  • Manage multiple campaigns in various stages of launch
  • Manage launch-related communications between sponsor, blog partners, and BlogFrog
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on campaign activity and performance
  • Manage allotted budget for brand campaigns, as provided
  • Work with Account Management team for mutual support during crunch times, vacations, etc
  • Work with sales to up-sell additional BlogFrog engagement solutions as appropriate

Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with blogging industry - ideal candidate authors their own blog (or contributes to blog on a regular basis) and is active in the blogging space
  • Experience with BlogFrog’s community building platform and blogger network
  • Strong comprehension of marketing, advertising and digital media fundamentals
  • Passion for social media
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent project management skills
  • Ability to manage remotely-located teams
  • 3-5 years experience in Account Management, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications
  • Digital marketing or agency experience a plus

Front-End Developer

BlogFrog (http://theblogfrog.com) is looking for a front-end developer to work on our web-based social networking platform.

  • You should have solid programming skills and love to focus on creating great user experiences.
  • You should be up to date on the latest web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, API's, authentication, etc.) and have used them.
  • You should not only be comfortable using javascript libraries, but be able to write a new plugin or even a framework when needed. And once you've engineered a great UX you can also hook it all up to the back-end.
