Hmmm Just found this article:  Vitamins and Nausea  but I believe I've followed the directions on the bottle!

When I took Women's One-A-Day multivitamin, I became light headed and dizzy.  At one moment I even fell forward because I was about to pass out.  My neighbor caught me (we have play dates for our kids and we sit and chat).  She is a nurse and said that there might be an additive in it that I was having a reaction to or perhaps their vitamin dosage was too high.  When I called the company, they said the same thing about there being an additive.  Though after research, I've found that it is a symptom of overdose.  I never took more than the recommended dosage, however, some vitamins have very high amounts in that compact little pill.  If you are getting a full days worth of vitamins via food, there isn't a reason to take a multivitamin...that could possibly cause an overdose.  Nausea is also a symptom of overdose.  :)  Just drink some green smoothies.

I have definitely gotten nauseous with a multi-vitamin! When I do take them, (I haven't taken any for a while) I always take some with food. Instead of multi-vitamins, I usually take an iron pill since my blood tests usually show I'm on the anemic side.

I don't know about multivitamins but I remember my doctor mentioning prenatal vitamins causing nausea. There might be a correlation to pregancy though. It makes sense that putting something in your system that you are not used to may cause some side effects.

Thanks for sharing that...I too was only taking the recommended dose at the correct interval of time. We are trying to eat healthier but just in case I wanted to supplement areas I may be "low in".

Green smoothies sounds so healthy...but when I see them I just have a hard time considering drinking it :P  I'll have to try one!

I take mine at night before bed.  I got used to that from when I was pregnant.  In the morning they would make me sick.
