Breastfeeding what is your experience?

Ruth I also was not told about how sore my nipples would get! But sadly Lillys latch just wasn't there. So we bottle feed.

I breast fed my daughter for a year and a month. The first month of breastfeeding was terrible. No one told me that my nipples would get super sore and painful to the point where they bled a few times. After we got the proper latching technique breastfeeding went well. I really enjoyed breast feeding since I did not have to worry about carrying bottles or formula around. I was also a stay at home mom at the time so it did make breast feeding easier.

I nursed all of my kids for roughly a year - some a little longer, some a little less.  It's a partnership, and we both were pretty much done with it at about the same time!

i guess i win for the longest time lol  i have 7 children and breastfed each  til they were almost 4 .
