If you have kids you understand how hard it is to make time for your marriage. So I am asking you this do you and your spouse make sure you go out on dates? Do you schedule them? How often do you go out on a date with just your spouse and no children?
My husband and I try to go out on a date about once a month.
We used to have a standing monday night date ... three kiddos make that nearly impossible now but we do get out at least once a month. we also try to get away at least once a year for a few days without kidlets.
I recently had a friend with young kids move in down the street. We have started to babysit for each other. Each couple gets to go on a night out once a month while the other Mum sits in to watch over the kids and put them to bed. It is working really well as now we can go out without the expense of paying out for a babysitter.
We go out about once a week during the school year, but it is almost always for business entertainment, and not by ourselves. Still, just getting out of the house without the children feels like a date these days!
