This answer could really be a book in itself, but I will condense! LOL.
1. Social media brought me out of depression, literally. I was dealing with the death of my grandfather, a new neighborhood and a son who attempted suicide. It was overwhelming and isolating to say the least. BUT...by using social media to connect with other moms, it offered me the support and love I needed to break out of my funk and not feel so alone.
2. Social media empowered me to help my family of 9 afford to live. I now work out of my home, while raising my kids. I am able to help pay the bills and have interaction with other adults...which we know is a precious commodity.
3. Social media has made me more aware of what is going on outside of my own walls. I have never been more informed about news, politics, media etc... than when I started using Twitter, Facebook and other social platforms. It refueled my desire to make this world a better place for my children to grow up.
4. It enables my dream to come true by putting me in touch with people I would never have had access to before. I can reach agents, celebrities, companies and pretty much whoever I need to. It is making my journey to creating the first talk show for moms/by moms a whole lot quicker and easier.
It has made all the difference in my life!
