Hey, it’s Rita! I’m desperate and need your help. Spam isn’t something I enjoy; therefore, I hope you feel this is more personal than that.

After having three children, I need to shed about 75 pounds. Where I live gets into the triple digits - there are days where it’s just not an option to take our baby out in this heat. Right now, I’m one of 20 finalists to win a Smooth Fitness treadmill. This contest ends tonight (Sunday). It’s super easy to vote for me. It only takes these three easy clicks:

 Visit this blog post: http://www.mamavation.com/2010/07/top-20-smooth-fitness-nominees-go-vote.html

Locate & check the box next to my name, @lovelyritaann, on the voting poll

 Click Vote

(*Please Note: You can vote from any & every device that has internet access – computers, laptops, phones, iPods, iPads, Nintendo DSi’s, etc.*)

It’s absolutely that simple. I’m a little behind; however, with amazing friends like you behind me, I could have a chance at winning this awesome prize that would change my life! It would be appreciated if you voted for me & shared this information in any way you can. My apologies on the short notice. I’m also hosting a giveaway for a $50 gift card on my blog for my voters, if I am to win. My giveaway was pre-approved by the contest creator before I posted it. Feel free to enter yourself & share this information! You can find my giveaway by visiting my blog post here:http://lovelyritaann.com/2010/07/26/vote-for-me-win-a-50-gift-card/

I've been going through my coupons and trying to condense down to only what I'll really use. We are going to a much more natural, whole food diet. I also have a good month + of inserts I hadn't gone through. So I've got a kid's shoe box full of coupons that I'd like to give away to someone in the Portland area. I can meet someone in inner SE/NE Portland, Downtown, and Milwaukie/Clackamas.

All the coupons have an expiration date of 6.30.10 or later. Mostly food, but some other stuff. Mostly inserts, but there are a few blinkies, peelies thrown in. Also some Albertsons coupons.

I'm available Tue/Wed (6/1 & 6/2) and not again until 6/8. Although there are plenty to go around, I do not want to take the time to meet with many people.

Please e-mail me: djbartch (at) yahoo (dot) com -- Thanks!

Found a Febreze Luminary on clearance - $15.99 marked down to $7.99 - and I had a $2 e-coupon and $4 manu. coupon and a 50 cent double...I paid $1.49. 90% off WOOHOO!

There is a BOGO Q that some stores are accepting with the BOGO sale, and some aren't, so I was just wondering if any one local has tried it? It's a 25 minute drive for me to Salem or to Tigard (I live right in between!) Let me know!
Also, I was at TRU in Salem last night and did the Hasbro game deal and was able to use multiple Q's per transaction. I got 5 games and 2 stuffed animals for FREE after coupons, rebates, and gift cards!

pet food freebies at petco

I went to the petco by the Clackamas Target yesterday and brought it my Purina Pro-Plan bogo and free packets of pet food coupons. I expected to pay some money for the BOGOs, but I also signed up for their Pal Card and walked out of the store with six cans and three small packets of dry cat food for free! When I know that my transaction will be free, I usually grab something like a little extra can of cat food so it does not look tacky. I did not realize this would be free until the clerk handed me a receipt and said thank you.
These coupons also apply to dog food.
I also picked up free fish food there a few weeks ago with some coupons I found on another blog.

What are your favorite deals and why?

What are your favorite deals, stores to save at and why?

When does Easter clearance start?

Do most stores start their Easter clearance on Easter or the day after? They had the Kraft 2% Shredded Cheese marked down to 99 cents and there was a blankie machine right below spitting out $1/2 packages. So you get shredded cheese for 49 cents instead of $4.99. They just put it up this morning and my stuff did not ring up correctly - supposedly now fixed but watch the register. I got 4 packages - the blinkie machine only had two coupons in it (CS said they could refill it if they had more, had to check).
This was at the Albertson on Cornell and 25th in Hillsboro. There were two hangers marked - one regular and one for a Mexican blend.

Target-Always Pads & TaxCut

Went to Target yesterday to buy the two large Always pantiliners- which gave me a $5 Target gift card-also larger size Kotex products offers this. This has been going on for awhile, the signs were gone by the products for some time (but I understand it was still going on-lasts until April sometime), but were back up yesterday. Also FYI & this also worked for me at Albertson's-the Always pad coupon works on pantiliners (I specifically asked the cashier there, because I wasn't sure). Albertson's had a few pantiliners on clearance for 1.74 (& with doubles I got two boxes free + overage!)-last I saw only the thong type were left. Also the TaxCut programs were $5 off and gave a $10 Target gift card. So I bought that first & used it with the rest of my items rang up in a separate transaction. This was in Hillsboro and the cashier was very nice about it-even offered to do it a third time to use the $5 Target card I got, but I told her I didn't want to hold up the people behind me.

Albertson's BOGO sale and mccormics cat

To qualify for a cat do you have to purchase 3 items and get 3 free for a total of 6, or just buy 2 and get 2 free so you are at 4 and over the minimum amount of 3?

Kohl's cash at Safeway

Hi, does anyone know if the Kohl's cash deal from last week at Safeway prints as a catalina? I was hesitant because of the Extra Light Syrup but it doesn't taste sweetened.

BIG LOTS DEALS

Notable finds this week at Big Lots I thought you might like to know about:Gerber Graduates Smart Sips, 3 8.25 oz cartons (huge) - $1Gerber Graduates Chewy Granola Bars, 6-Pack - $1Seneca Apple Chips, 2.5 oz - $1V-8 Fusion, Strawberry-Bananan,, 46 oz, $1.50Musselman's Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce, 100% American Grown Apples, 62 oz (huge) - $3Keebler Wheatables Oven Baked Crackers, Naturally Flavored Honey Wheat, 9 oz - $1Loreal Vive Pro Shampoo - $1http://www.biglots.com/specials/subcategory.aspx?scid=49Sign up for Buzz Club and they'll email you discount coupons (you can not use manufacturer coupons there, however). I saw there used to be one on Frugal Living NW but it looks like there hasn't been an update for months. I have also seen the monthly ones but that is way too intense for me and doesn't seem like it would take advantage of the sales. Anyone know?! (valid 3/2-3/9) After reading the fine print, I saw no mention of manufacture coupons. Does this mean I can use this BEFORE or AFTER my manufacture coupons or is this YMMV (your mileage may vary) situation? I was planning on getting a few items, but didn't know if it was worth the time if they were going to tell me I have to spend $50 after coupons!

Photo Contest

My son's picture that I submitted to Moonfrye's blog made it to the finals! This week I have paid both $2.38 and $2.39 for a gallon of house brand milk (Winco and Safeway). A few weeks ago I was paying $1.98/$1.99.

Fred Meyer ECoupons

So I went to Fred Meyer today and tried to use the ecoupon on All without success. I bought two, so thought 1 paper coupon and 1 ecoupon may work, but only the paper one showed up (my card did get scanned before the coupon, because the cashier did it so quick before I could ask). Then I went to customer service-asked them if they knew anything about ecoupons-they said no-had only vaguely heard of them-no training on it (she was very nice though). So I returned one bottle and had her ring it up again-by itself with my card, but the ecoupon still didn't work. (No one was in line, so I didn't feel bad taking up time.) So I just returned it.She did give me the rewards customer service number: 866-518-2686, don't know if they will know anything either-has anyone tried yet?

Kellogs Catalina at Fred Meyer?

I was reading a couple other blogs from other parts of the country and they said that Kroger has a Catalina on Kellogs cereal right now. it’s still available & you can do 3 per family-must mail them in
separately. I'm going to try it today. This rebate is good until 6/30/10-for purchases, mail by 7/15-and also includes ziploc, windex, pledge, shout, fantastik, drano, raid, off, saran and nature's source products.

FYI - Safeway $10 Catalina on $25 of P&G Products didn't print.

First I will start by admitting that I am not the most savy shopper out there and that I would probably be classified as a Name Brand Snob ... but I still like to look for deals and have been using loaded and cut coupons (side note: it would be great if we could get a coupon class out here on the far west side - forest grove/banks/hillsboro) for the last few months.
Well, here is my experience yesterday:
While doing errands in town I decide to stop by Safeway and take advantage of the the $10 catalina on $25 worth of P&G products. So with my little man in tow (21 months) we grab a cart and stock up on Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Bounce Drier Sheets, Dish Soap, Batteries (all on sale, all with the P&G promotion marked). After we stock up we head to the check out ... I did out the club card (with loaded coupons) and my cut coupons I have) ... every thing rings up great and I still had spent over $25 on these products (since I wasn't sure if the catalina would print on the total before or after the coupons). But when the casier hands my my receipt the Catalina did not print ... so I asked about it and the cashier (a young gentleman that acted annoyed with me) spent 5 or 6 minutes trying to figure it out then finally gave up and got a supervisor.
So the supervisor looked over the items and the receipt ... didn't have an answer ... but she did end up giving me $10 is cash rather than the catalina.
So ... long story short ... Check to make sure it prints for you (I usually am in a hurry and don't look to closely until I get home - I'm glad I took the time to check yesterday). I hope you all have better luck with this than I did.

I'm looking for a group of people that would be interested in exchanging coupons - Sunday coupons, Chinook book coupons...
I live in NE/N Portland, but I guess that we could meet up somewhere (coffee shop, etc.) or could mail them. Anyone interested?
