I live in upstate South Carolina. I have lived in one of the Carolinas my whole life. My husband in native to North Carolina, but this feels like home to both of us. We met here in college and moved to NC when we were married, but didn't last long before we had to come back. Our church is North Hills Community Church. Officially we are nondenominational. We love it there because the teaching is expositional, solid, theologically sound, and so thorough. We just finished the book of Luke and it took more than four years to get through it. The have a really big focus on missions, which we love, and there are a lot of local outreaches too- a restaurant owner from our church runs a homeless meal ministry each week, we do a prison ministry for men and women, we work with some local overcoming addiction programs, etc. it is just so nice to be in a place where you can SEE God working on such a regular basis. I love our church and what God has done through our marriage and family because of it. If God ever calls us to move away where we can't be a part of this part of the body anymore, I will be very sad!
