Tips for Time Management

I love the idea of using a spiral notebook to keep track of your time!

My friend takes the idea one step further (and taught me to) and divides her notebooks up by topic. So she has one notebook for home, work (she owns her own business that she runs at home as well), and one for 'special occasions' (like birthdays, graduations, holidays, etc.). She literally pick up a notebook (and project), work on it, and put it away for later while she picks up the next one without being distracted by her other obligations.

Another of my favorite time management tricks is to use a kitchen timer: I set the timer for however long I have to work on something and when the timer goes off, I can go on to the next thing. It can help keep you focused and even if you can't finish something in the time available, you know that you've at least done something!

Share with us some of your favorite tips and tricks to keep track of time! Or do you have something going on you just don't know how to fit into your schedule? Ask away! Someone just might have the answer you're looking for!

When I'm on the computer I rotate my time between doing home stuff and working on the computer. I have a time that chimes every 15 minutes and then I switch.

This helps me when I have stuff to do online and sin the house!
