I don't have any friends or family who haven't navigated my blog. Would anyone who hasn't been there be willing to look and give me notes? I will gladly return the favor.

Question 1: When you asked someone to navigate through your blog for the first time what did they seem drawn to?

I had one of my authors check out the blog since he will be writing consistently for it.  He liked the layout and look of the blog.  He really liked the carousel that I had designed. 

Question 2: What useful observations and/or feedback did they offer?

He did not scroll down below the fold.  This was typical for several other people that I tested the design with.  It was the main reason why I did a carousel. 

What was interesting was that I spend so much effort on the topic drop down so that people could see new posts without scrolling and he didn't understand how to use it at all.  I had to walk him through the process.

I need to redo the color and style to make it clearer.

My kids are always on my site, chuckling at my headlines so I think they like that aspect. I'll try and get hubby to have a proper look (he normally reads the RSS) and see if there are any friends who have dared not to visit my site yet!

My initial feedback from friends when I launched 2 months ago was positive but I think they were surprised that I'd pulled it together with 4 kids  -(if they came here they'd realise there's thousands of mum's out there pulling it together online, and most better than I am!) 

1. It seemed that he just go to the first page on the home page. He used iPhone to browse, so the screen is very small.

2. No significant feedback.

If anybody get the time to look at mine, would you please let me know your input? I'll do the same to your blog too if you want.

Victoria, I just went to your blog and I really love how you design the front page with magazine style. One thing that I noticed tho' there's a tiny misspell on your subscription option by email it says "sing up for updates via email"

So glad to be back to the #31DBBB Challenge! I have been off grid for a few days and I am now back tracking to catch up on the tasks I have missed!

I have not heard of anyone having problems with navigating my blog...I always hear how most like the "clean" look of my site, although I have gotten some feedback about making the header smaller and moving around some things to make it easier to subscribe/follow.

Any feedback you could provide would be great as I will be making some updates to the blog soon....
