Blog Award Scam!

Hi there ladies!

I got an email today from onlineschools.org saying my blog Adventuroo just won an award for Top 50 Outdoor blogs (which if they actually looked at my blog they'd know I'm really a mom blogger who talks about the outdoors like 20% of the time).

In return for the award, they ask you to put a badge on your blog and they include the link to go get the badge.

Anyway, I googled it and it's basically a diploma mill site. By putting a badge on your site, you improve their search engine rankings, i.e. BIG OLE SCAM.

Apparently they do all sorts of niches so if you get an email, disregard!

I got this too!  i did think it seemed a bit odd as I probably update my camping blog once a month, if that.  It's definitely not my primary blog.  Thanks so much for the heads up!

I wouldn't be surprised  if there was a virus attached to the links and all.
