I agree, this giveaway is much more appropriate for you.  Not many people would be brave enough to do the other one(!)

There was a thread recently about where people promote their giveaways and various sites were mentioned.  I didn't make a note of them because I've never had a giveaway, but it might be worth you doing a search on SITS.

I love to do reviews and giveaways.  A few companies have contacted me, but I've done the majority of the pitching.  Just work up a "pitch" letter and email it out to anyone you'd want to work with.  There are some sample pitch letters online, or you can work up your own.  I worked with friends and sponsored a $5 Amazon card on my own at first.  lol  But things are improving!  Also check out sites like Tomoson and Business2Blogger.

I hosted two of my own giveaways, just things I bought personally. I recently did one giveaway for digital scrapbooking software, which someone contacted me to do. I don't like to do them very often, but it is fun to do one every now and then. 

Besides facebook and twitter, I'm horrible at promoting my giveaways apparently :p I know there are other effective ways of doing it, I just dont remember what they are. 

I've never done giveaways before but congrats on your first one!   I'll be sure to check it out!

Woot!  That is thrilling!  Glad it fits your blog so perfectly. 

Be careful promoting on facebook though... I know of a few bloggers who got in trouble and had their accounts frozen.
