I have a few critques for you blog.

1) pictures - maybe add some photos with the text, I personally find blogs with little or no pic boring and hard to read

2) don't be afraid of a little colour

3) side bar (maybe add some punch or jazz)

Hi just visited your blog.  I love your post today.  I know what you mean...my hubby isn't all that "romantic" but today he's actually taking me out to dinner. Hey it's not my  favorite restaurant but I'll take it. :p

As for a critique of your blog, I'm saying this with the most humble respect because Lord knows I need some help on my own blog, but I would perhaps add some color to your blog. Your blog banner maybe could be a bit more catching.  Instead of a black and white picture maybe color would be more eye catching,  Other than that I enjoyed your blog.  Great posts!

When visiting your blog, it's not clear what your niche is.  I was expecting family stories of crazy days.  Looks like you might be a product notification blog?  Showing people where the deals are? 

I would find a design that reflects your direction, that could be part of the problem.  Maybe add a tag line to let people know what your about.

Thanks Kim for looking at my site and giving me feedback.  My original plan was going to be about family stories before I discovered The Blog Frog.  I decided that I couldnt possibly hold a candle to all the "real" family stories given that my family consists of me and my 19 y/o son.  I don't want to sell anything either.  So my website has actually grown from Banana Brained (family stories) to Nurses Notes (health care info), and, Kitchen Bananas (recipes).  I have added 3 pages which are not blogs called, Banana Style (affiliate links), Wine and Dine, and Banana's Delight.  It would be nice to write about what I know the most and that would be healthcare related....no fun there because that is what I do everyday at work!  Hopefully time will help me to narrow my focus.  So, I guess for now my website is about everything, anything, and nothing at all.

This was a genius idea...I was on the fence about making some changes to my blog (www.504Main.com)  and participated in the first blog critique...it gave me the kick in the behind I needed and I made the changes - a lot of the ones that were suggested - and LOVE them. Everyone and Kim gave great advice.

I am going to be doing a redesign soon and would love any suggestions. I want it cleaned up and the cartoon gone. I was thinking maybe a grey and pantone honeysuckle color scheme? I want a new tagline, but need people to realize that "tipsy" is because it is a creative tip blog not that I am drunk. Give me whatcha got!! Love to hear your suggestions! And well if you know a great blog designer with reasonable prices, that would be fab too!

Don't know much about blogger (on wordpress), but I do like how you don't have too too many banner ads. I have a code to actually place them in a table if you want it. Not sure how it will look on your site, but you can see what it looks like on mine. Just keeps things in place. I like how you had your plugins place neatly on your site. In regards to your header, make it smaller because now its very overbearing, but its cute. I do like where your going with it so far. I can't wait to see your redesign...let me know.
