Oh my....your kids have more choices than mine...lol...but, I find know that mine are older, I don't come up with "inspiring" lunches, they make what they want which includes:

Lean Cuisines

Healthy Choice meals

Pizza rolls

Ramen noodles

Grilled cheese (with ham or turkey)

Tortilla roll-ups

sometimes canned pasta

sometimes eggs & toast

sometimes canned soup

PB&J

appleasauce, yogurt,fruit

It was so much eaiser to get them to eat healthy when they were little and really didn't have much control over what they ate.

Quesadillas, sort of like grilled cheese but with tortillas.  Add refried beans if you want.  Cut in quarters and dunk in salsa if you like.  Very easy!

I came across this in a cookbook I just read and would be healthier than the frozen pizza rolls my girls like.

Take a tortilla, spread pizza sauce to about an inch clearance, place string cheese on one edge of tortilla, tuck sides of tortilla around cheese, then roll tightly, creating a log.

Place log in a baking pan lined with parchment and bake for 12-15 min. in a preheated 350 oven.

HMMM, that sounds interesting Lisa, might have to try that!

what is a pizza roll???

Jessica...you will find pizza rolls in the freezer section at grocery store. They are small rectangle thingys filled with sauce and cheese...or with pepperoni or sausage if you eat that. I don't think they are overly healthy so I don't allow my girls to eat them much-I would think making rolls out of toritillas would be better.

Check out this blog!  Such cute ideas!

Interesting ideas....my 2 girls take bagged lunch at school at least 3 times a week if not all 5 days. I am always looking for new ideas as they tire of the same ole thing to eat.

I have thought about getting them both the bento-style lunchbox but not real sure....

Yeah, we have the Bento Style boxes, didn't use them a ton last year, but I'm hoping to use them more this year.

I think the problem is for me to have bento boxes for the girls is I hate washing dishes and that would give me extra to wash. I like the idea of them but after getting them home, helping with homework, having dinner, doing more homework with them usualy....and packing for the next day of school-homework, charging laptop every night, packing lunches for the next day-it just gets too late and I am bushed.
