One year, when my son was about 6 years old, we made a book for his dad. We took construction paper and had him draw about 6-8 pictures with crayons and markers. Each drawing filled up the entire piece of paper and related to things he liked doing with his dad. They were about camping, working in the garden, playing baseball, etc. I wrote on each page and titled the cover "Noah and Daddy - a true story". Then I cut the paper in half, lined it up like a book and had it laminated and spiral-bound at Kinkos (you can do that for about $5-7). It was precious and didn't cost much money at all.
