Why did you start blogging?

Started by Tania , author of Larger Family Life - A Large Family Blog 6/15/2010 12:48:42 AM

Was it originally just a way of keeping a diary for yourself or to keep family and friends informed on the happenings in your life?

Did you imagine other people (strangers) wanting to read your blog regularly?

Did you ever give a thought that your blog may grow, or did you hope it would?

Was your original blog that you began with the one you have now or did you create a few before getting to where you are now?

How would you say your blogging has evolved?

Hello Nan,

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother.  I'm glad you've found new friends through blogging.

I'm such a slow poke when it comes to technology-I didn't even know this whole blogging world existed a year and a half ago.

I so wish this all existed when I was a young mother and felt so isolated!  It would have helped my mental health imensely (sp?).

I started my blog because I needed to something for me.  I was in a funk-feeling ignored and unappreciated. It's really helped.

At the beginning. I hoped not many people would read it, but as I write more, I am feeling more confident in my voice and hoping for more visitors and readers. It's coming up to our one year mark & I hope to go on & on with it.

My family is very supportive and can see the difference it's made in me.  I suppose I will continue for quite a while and hope my words can be an influence for good on all that pass by.

Tania, thanks for asking your questions. And Nan, so sorry for your loss, but glad you were able to find new friends.
