Me and the kids

Started by Angie , author of Homemaker Chronicles 4/16/2010 9:11:33 AM
I will be at home with the kids tonight and I am searching for some fun Mom and children things to do.  I have 5 ranging from 10 yrs old all the way to 22 months old.  What can we do together?  I need help!

Well it's a bit late to chime in since it is already evening, but my girls like to put on plays. They will find parts for everyone, put together costumes. Sometimes we will incorporate our meal into the play-pretend we are having a royal meal, dinner out on the range.  If your 10 yr old thought it was too little for her, maybe she could be the director.

We are also daddy-free tonight, so we went to the park and had supper there. Now we are watching Little Princess and we will make kettle corn later.

I hope y'all are having a fun time!

Ah!  That sounds awesome!  I'll have to remember that idea for the next "no daddy" night.  We decided to have dinner, watch Pistachio, the Veggietales movie, in a homemade indoor tent while eating stove-popped corn and cookies that we made earlier.  We made chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips...just to be weird I guess.
You guys have a great evening!  Thanks for the suggestions...

Cool! We have another daddy-free night tomorrow night, so I'll have to make some more plans!
