I actually do make a hot breakfast every day. We have some kind of meat - sausauge, bacon, etc; eggs, and then some kind of bread (pancakes, breafast cakes, bisuits, french toast etc) and sometimes we throw fruit in as well.
I do keep cereal on hand for mornings that things come up or if "breakfast for dinner" is planned.
We usually do a snacky lunch, have "tea time" at 3:30 and then dinner around 6pm.
I have found that, for my kiddos, having a good hearty breakfast helps them get through the morning and school time.
We have a nice time at the breakfast table having devotions, reading together and talking. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I enjoy it. :)
