For week 11 of the book club, we are reading chapters 17 and 18 and beginning our study on Service. I'll be popping in and out since we're on vacation this week, but will still get your replies when you post!

You can download printables for Week 11 here as well as watch Sally's video for the week: http://www.goodmorninggirls.org/2011/07/week-11-ministry-of-motherhood-book-club-ch-17-18/

The discussion thread for Week 11's S.O.A.P. can be found here:

One thing I’m reminded of is our love for “Operation Christmas Child”. It is a wonderful picture of God’s desire to help those in need with absolutely no hope of anything in return. Each year my children pack a box of goodies for another child their own age.  The package is prayed over, then sent out through Samaritan’s Purse to bless it’s recipient. At first it was difficult for our children to giveaway all those yummy toys, but now they look forward to the opportunity to bless another child. For that one day, selfishness isn’t present in our house.

ahhh....we love Operation Christmas Child here too. We also have fun shopping for a local child with a Salvation Army tree. MUCH fun to buy things for someone that is our kiddos ages and bless them with things we know that we would love also! On 7/31/2011 3:51 PM, BlogFrog wrote:

We do too, I think my children feel a sense that they did something good, something to show God's love
