(I didn't mean to hit reply on that last one yet!)

Inspiring me to grow would be constructive criticism.... having 50 people tell me how awesome a photo I took was makes me feel like a million bucks, but that one person who takes the time to really look at it and say, "I like this a lot, but...." and points out something I missed.  That person help to make my next photo even better!

Causes me to stop growing? Well, I try hard to stay green and keep growing....to stay openminded, and listen.  Sometimes, when life gets hectic, I forget to take time to nurture myself...that tends to stall my growth as both a person and an artist!

One thing I can do (and do, do) to nurture my creativity is take time away from the craziness of four kids, a sometimes cluttered house, and everything else......find a nice quiet place where it's just me and God, and spend time there getting my spirit where it needs to be :)

There are a lot of things that inspire me. Flowers, my little brother, my daughter, my dogs, my husband, travel.

This class has really opened my eyes to photography! My classmates and Faith have inspired me. As well, looking at photography blogs really inspires me! I find myself seeing so much of daily life from a, "that would make a nice picture" viewpoint. The comments on Flickr really helps to stretch myself in photography as well.

Being too busy causes me to stop growing. Feeling tired and letting the frustrations of life get to me, can really stall my growth.

One thing I can do to nurture my growth is: after this class is over, I really want to stay involved with a weekly challenge, so it will force me to be creative. Having a homework assignment everyday has really helped me to work extra hard at photography. Also, taking some time for myself instead of always taking care of others, would help me to grow.

This is excellent! I often suggest participating in the scavenger hunt on Ashley Sisk's blog - that's a great place to start once you finish my photography class.

I will do that, Faith. Going to check out her blog right now:) ________________________________

What inspired you creatively?

I find inspiration in lots of places, my surroundings, color, clothing. But most of all I'm inspired by the creative souls that surround me {most that surround my on-line world}. There are so many talented artist, on flickr and in the blog world, their work, tutorials and creative prompts challenge me and keep the spark going.

What ispires you to grow, what causes you to stop growing?

Challenges inspire me to grow...it can be a simple word prompt from my favorite meme or a new technique I learned about. I love reading, learning new things and trying new things.

Ironically, challenges can also stop my growth...but more so because of me, myself, not the challenges themselves. I sometimes tend to take on to many challenges or start too many and begin to be bogged down by the pressure.

What is one thing you can do to nurture your creativity?

Focus...that's my word this year...and I'm applying it to my creative growth as well. I'm choosing to focus it and reign it in. Sticking to just a few challenges to foster my creativity, and being ok with leaving some challenges untouched. After all I can't do them all!

What inspires you creatively? First and foremost would be family. Everytime I see something my child does I just want to go out and recreate that image or moment on camera. Secondly, going and looking on other photographer's blogs. I absolutely love going and looking at other photographer's work and gaining insight and ideas. It takes my photography to another level.

What inspires you to grow? Well what first inspired me to grow was when my son was born and I got my first dslr camera. I took horrible pictures and didn't have a clue what I was doing. At that moment I decided I had to change my photography skills or pay someone else tons of money to constantly take pictures of my family. Well when I officially made the choice to continue with my photography I realized how much there was to learn and it just excited me. Every day I wonder what can I learn today.

What causes you to stop growing? Sometimes my busy schedule. With me being a mom it makes my life busy but on top of that my husband is a Pastor of a church which I am so thrilled about but I have decided I want to be very active in my husband's ministry and to make it my own ministry as well. So sometimes my life just get's so busy that I have to take a break from growing in my photography skills.

What is one thing you can do this week (or month) to nurture your creativity? I already took one step, I bought my first prime lens, 35mm 1.8. I am hoping this will help me to step out of my comfort zone and learn more and more.

I totally agree - overextending myself is one of my most frequent steps toward burn-out.

What inspires your creativity?
Just reading through The different blogs I follow inspires me. There are so many great photos out there and it makes me think about what kind of things or people I want to photograph and how i want them to look.

What inspires you to grow?
I would love to start my own business one day, but i want my work to be GREAT! So i want to continue to learn as much as i can between now and the time i am ready to hit the floor running.

What causes you to stop growing?
LIFE! Having two small kids is consuming and there are many days when we all wear PJ's or sweats all day because mommy is busy doing chores. It makes it hard to set aside time to work on assignments or review a tutorial.

What is one thing you can do this week or month to nurture your creativity?
Well, i am currently doing a 52 weeks of me project. That forces me to turn the camera around and photograph myself. It also fores me to think outside the box because each week has a theme. I am also going to take a Photoshop class this month so that will help me to want to take creative pics to Photoshop.
