I remember as a child, we would always go to my Gram's camp on the lake.. we would have lots of food and people. It was fun spending the day in the lake swimming, eating watermelon and watching people put off sparklers and fireworks.

Now as a parent myself, I want my kids to have some good memories of things we did on holiday's... or during the summer. Unfortunetly my husband usually has to work most Holiday's so we have to come up with things to do around him.

We have made silly 4th hats some years... and next year I would love to make t-shirts.

Almost always we try to see a parade... and this year we will be doing that with our family. (Daddy's working) Most times we wait to see the fireworks as well.

Just doesn't seem like enough of a tradition to me sometimes though...

With that being said.... I hope that everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!!!
