Where's the farthest you've traveled?

It'd have to be Hawaii/Italy. Not sure WHICH is actually the farthest. Hubby is British, so I sort of got the travel bug from him. It's on hold now though due to lack of time and money.

The farthest I have been is to France on a mission trip back in '94.  I haven't flown since 9/11 and now I dread when I will have to do so.

Great topic, Tamara!

I have to add that my favorite place I have traveled to was PEI (Prince Edward Island) on our honeymoon.  Wow!  It was beautiful.

I have flown to Baltimore twice that is the farthest I have ever gone from here.  In one year I went from Baltimore to Southern California in just a few months.  I saw both the Atlantic and Pacific that year(for the first time).  It was exciting back then!!

Wait I forgot we went on a cruise for our honeymoon and went all the way to Puerto Viarta I think that may be the farthest!!  ah ha!

Hawaii was ridiculously long. It was a 10 hour flight! We got a nonstop one though, so that helped. So did the champagne (it was our honeymoon). I thought flying to England was bad, but that's only 7-8.5 hours.

Luckily when we went to Italy, we left from the UK, so it was a short flight or that might have been the longest.

Hubby wants to go back to Australia, which I've never been, but that flight might be too much for sure!

Interesting topic Tamara...

We lived as expats in Thailand for 4 years and traveled tons during that time.

The flight to Thailand was 21 hours....from Texas.  We traveled with 3 children and talk about hard to entertain them for 21 hours...you have to be very creative.  We were lucky the company my hubby  worked for paid for Business Class travel because I can't even begin to think about coach for 21 hours.....LOL

I flew coach class from Dulles to Chicago to Bejing when we adopted Ella. The trip there was ok because I slept as much as possible and watched a movie.

The flight home was a form of torture. Hong Kong to San Francisco to Dulles- in coach class - with a 15 month old who had NO intentions of sleeping - and there was a lot of turbulence so the fasten seatbelt sign was on almost the whole trip. I couldn't wait to put my head on my pillow that night.

Wow Tracy and Tina...you guys have traveled very far!!! When we traveled to England with my oldest when he was 6 months old, it was a LONG flight. I can't imagine that multiplied by like 3!

The farthest I have been is Lisbon, but only to the airport, on layover to the Azores.  The first time I went to the Azores was off season, so I had to go right over the islands for a layover in Lisbon.  I wished the layover was longer so I could explore - although at that time I probably wouldn't since I was alone, it was my first time out of country (except Canada), and was just after 9/11.  The second time I went, I got a direct flight from the States to the islands, so no layover.  :(

Wow you girls are brave! I hate to fly so longer the flight the less likely I am going to get on it!
