you let them stay home by themselves for the first time? Were they home by themselves or were they watching a younger sibling? If they were, how old was the younger sibling?

What about staying in a car while you ran into a store (like to pick up a pizza) where you could see them through a window of the store? What about a gas station? Grocery or convenience store?
Just curious after a conversation I had with my sister-in-law tonight.
