The first thing you want to do after getting your widgets on your blog is to post about it. Many people will find your community through the blog frog, but the fastest way to get it going with your readers is to let them know.
Do a post about it and introduce a topic in that post. Encourage your readers to go to your community and get involved there in the discussion. The first thing you want them to do is JOIN your community.
Then as you post to your blog, from time to time start a discussion about your post and put a link in it to your community where they can go to comment. Eventually people will start going there on their own without you even posting about it just because they want to see whats going on.
