I am hoping to get a new system in place before January when my husband deploys for 6 months. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

We drew a new master bedroom onto the end of our house and tried to arrange things. I renamed the bedrooms, giving our old one to Clementine and Emeline, giving theirs to Tess and Milo would finally have his back to himself. We were just dreaming. But it didn't last long. Tess didn't like sitting in the stroller as a spectator while everyone else was running, swinging, sliding and having great fun. She she got picked up and she got my ruler and the attention was back exactly where it should be, on her.

What do you want to know?

Tomorrow is the day I talk about using your camera without reading the manual. I'm feeling kind of stuck. Is there anything you want to know? Something I haven't covered. I'm kind of getting tired of hearing myself talk. Maybe we need a guest post on this subject. Any volunteers? Anyone read over here on the frog?

More on Bloggy Purpose

Emily's post really has me thinking today. I spent 2 hours going through old blog posts attempting to answer her questions. Some posts I didn't get to link to but felt like I should are the posts like the photography series or other posts where I answer homeschooling questions. I enjoy helping people. While I feel inadequate at times giving advice, when I get comments that tell me how much they have learned or what a great help it was, it makes it so worth while. I guess that part is the teacher in me. Teaching something and seeing that it benefited someone in some way is a huge blessing to me.I'll probably be adding more thoughts to this discussion as they come to me. Have you given any thoughts to your bloggy purpose? Care to offer analysis on mine?

Foreign language suggestions

Once again I'm contemplating adding a foreign language to our curriculum. Clementine has done Latin (Latin's not so tough), but we haven't done anything else. I'm thinking about Spanish. Particularly Spanish for Children from Classical Academic Press. I'm open to other suggestions and would love to hear what you've done and if it has been successful. I'm really not interested in a computer based program.

First Show and Tell

I'm so excited about the 8 people who participated on the Show and Tell this Monday. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was a little afraid no one would link up and then I would feel like I was in 7th grade again and sitting alone at the lunch table. So thanks to those who practiced and shared and made me feel loved:Jo at MylestonesSissy at Out on a LimbElizabeth at Finding Him BiggerBeth at Part of the MiraclesDawn at Beyond GraceMelissa at Our Suburban HomesteadLacy at Tatum FamilyJodi at Green AcresThank you for joining me!See you next week? And bring your friends.

Camera Series and Show and Tell Day

At least one person commented on the camera series that they didn't have a blog. If you don't have a blog and still want to show and tell your pictures sign up for a free flickr account or photobucket account and link to your account when I put up the MckLinky on Monday. Be sure to make your account public so we can all see it. I know in flickr you can make comments on the picture. Not sure about photobucket.I'm working on buttons for the show and tell Monday.
