Introduce yourself to other Happy Housewife readers (and win a $25 Target card)

Started by Holly , author of Love and Math | Love, math and everything in between. 6/30/2009 2:17:51 PM
TheHappyHousewife has thousands of like-minded readers and we want to make it easy and fun for you to learn about her community and connect with other readers. So for the next week, anyone who starts a discussion (or replies to one) is automatically entered to win a $25 Target Gift Card.  All you have to do is start your own discussion or reply to one, and we take care of the rest.  A great place to start is by introducing yourself.  I'll even go first :)

I'm the mom of a teenage son and step-mom to two other teenage boys.  (Yes, I have a house full of boys).  I live outside Boulder, CO and love being near the mountains.  I blog, run, work for a tech start-up, and am always looking to connect with other moms of teens.

Tell us about YOU!

I'm a mom to 3 adorable little boys who are 7 months, 3 years, and almost 5. My DH is a great guy who does software engineering. We live in Utah. I love to read, spend too much time online, and make my baby laugh. I also like to check out blogs like HH to find ideas for cute kid crafts, new recipes, cleaning and organizing, and other mom stories.

Can I introduce myself too? :) I'm Toni, stay-at-home mom to seven kids, 15, 12, 9, 7, 5, 3, and 3 months. I have 4 girls and 3 boys. I am also the author of this blog.
I am a military wife as well as a homeschooling mom. I love to talk about homeschooling, saving money, crafting, kids, green living, and military life.
I am glad to finally be able to "meet" some of my readers!

I'm Karin, known as FireFly (my beloved husband, when we were getting to know each other said God gave him that name for me because I reflect His light, and I fell in love with both the nickname and the man).  I have no natural (earthly) children, but many spiritual children.  Live in rural, rural Manitoba on 20 beautiful acres.

I look forward to getting to know more of you.  Be blessed!

I'm Lynne, I no longer have children at home. They are all grown and have children of their own. I am the happy Mother of four children, 29, 27, 25, 22. My three oldest children have given me six wonderful grandchildren: 5, 4, 21/2, 2, 161/2 mo and 3 mo. My greatest joy at this stage of my life is visiting with my children (who all live away either in Utah or England) and building relationships with my grandchildren. I also love to read, craft, sew and cook.

I am happy to meet each of you!

I'm Erin.  I have a little girl named Caroline Emigh Stanford that is due in just under 5 weeks!  I also have two little ones in Heaven.  I am currently just trying to get as ready as possible for Caroline.  My DH and I have been married 4 1/2 years and he is a Children's Minister.  I love helping him in that role!

Hi,

I'm Carol from Central Massachusetts. I have one daughter and one grandson who live about 30 minutes from us. My husband and I are recently retired teachers. He was an elementary teacher and technology trainer. I was a high school teacher. We both loved teaching and our students throughout our careers. I'm fortunate to be able to travel around the country helping teachers learn instructional strategies to make math accessible to all students. This spring I've been to New Mexico, Florida, Buffalo, Oklahoma City, and Memphis.

I'm Chanin (pronounced like Shannon) and live in Mason, Oh (just north of Cincinnati), I have been married to my husband for 11 years, have 2 step-daughters, a 9 yo son, 5 yo daughter and a son-in-law (oops, can't forget the zoo -- 2 dogs and 2 cats).  I work full time out of the house and started blog stalking to learn all of the great money saving methods out there so that I could (hopefully) become a coupon queen myself!  :)

I'm trying my hand at getting a blog started and have been VERY slow at it because of work and all the other summer activities.  One of my step-daughter's and I are doing a 60-mile, 3-day breast cancer walk this november in Phoenix for one of my close customer friends that is currently going through radiation for breast cancer (I also have an aunt that died from breast cancer when she was 30).  The blog is to allow friends and family to follow us on our 'journey' and hopefully also be a place where I can teach them some of the ideas that I have learned from all the wonderful women (and men) out there in the blogging community!

Hi! My name is Dedra and I live in Indiana.  I have been married for 15 years. My husband is a Minister of a local church and have two wonderful children, a 13 yr. old son and a 10 yr. old daughter.   I am a stay-at-home Mom and also started homeschooling 2 years ago.  I have really enjoyed reading this blog and finding others that have been recommended here.  I have recently started using coupons and I am trying to get completely out of debt since going through the Dave Ramsey Workshop.  We have a ways to go, but are making real progress.

Thanks Toni for all the wonderful information on your blog.  I have learned so much here and look forward to checking this site everyday.
