Do you grow your own veggies?

What kind do you like to grow the most?

I wish. I have a black thumb. I'd love to grow herbs and vegetables, but I can't grow ivy or houseplants.

We are trying for the 3rd year. We've planted a variety and hope some of it grows!

Does anyone know what the best way is to protect tomatoes from birds is? Last year almost all of our plants had big holes from birds.

I usually don't garden because we live in apartments but this year my aunt is lending us part of her gardening area. So we are most likely planting different types of peppers.

My garden is my zen.  I love going out there and tending it.  This year I have brocolli, cauliflower, tomatoes, lettuce, peas, potatoes, and green beans going.  I was going to expand with corn and squash and peppers, but we just got word we're moving.  So no more is going in...I have to say good bye to my little plot.

Christy, Have you tried a tomato cage? They make them different sizes and can be found at most department stores, Lowes, Home Depot, etc...

I LOVE growing tomatoes.  I like to can them, eat the fresh, use them for cooking during the summer... probably will plant squash, cucumbers and beans also.  It's kind of trial and error.  Last year I planted a few things tha didn't work so this year going a different route.

There is nothing better than fresh veges from your own garden! Tomato sandwiches, a little mayo and salt and pepper...so simple and so good!

We plant a garden every year and this year I would love to try canning tomatoes.
