I just got back having a very interesting (and teary) discussion with my own mother about loving your children while directing them.

I think about having daughters and wanting those daughters to have all the options available to but not only that, but having them accept the option as a means to personal progression. And yet, at the same time realizing that if they don't choose any options I am still required to love them for who they are.

Does that sound right?

You want your girls to go on missions? Is that what you're saying?

Sounds right to me.  Unconditional love is very tricky.  As a mom of three and a sister to 4 I realize this more each day!!

Here are some other things I am thinking about:

I drink a lot of Coke during the holidays (not so much that I put my pregnancy at risk--mind you).

I can see how easy it is to let Sprout entertain my child during the holidays.

I am buying my husband Christmas presents that I really want for myself.

I'm not sure if I understand, but I have two little daughters & I'm scared to death about the world they have to face.

I think raising kids is hard, and my 2 kids are very little, 2.5 and 1.5 years old! I hope I can love them for who they are when they choose a different option that I dont like or agree with.
