I'm reaching out for a little help and advice here.

I was at my child's school concert this week when a woman collapsed. I am a nurse and so I had to do CPR on one side of a Fire-door while my kids sang on the other side. The woman was 56 and the grandmother of my sons classmate. Unfortunately she died.

I found it very hard keeping everything together in front of my kids afterwards. I didn't know how much was safe to tell them. Particularly because at first they were hurt that they had seen me walk out of the hall before they performed. I needed to explain to them that I was trying to help someone and it was an emergency. I didn't want to give them any graffic info that would upset them or that they would pass back to other kids.

They see major events flash up on news stories but this event was part of their normal day to day life. I want to be honest with them but in balance with what they can cope with (They are 11 and 8)

I am also struggling with emotions on that strange overlap between being a mum and a nurse. I keep hearing the sounds of the kids singing while reliving the images of the resuscitation.

Has anyone got any words of wisdom to help me deal with this better?

	Thanks so much,

I want to make the LDS temple picture, you know, the one where you antique it and make it all by yourself? I know that there are some companies in Utah that come and charge $50 a person, but here in Los Angeles, no one does that.

Could anyone help me and tell me the steps and products to do this?

	Thanks!

I'd love to know at what age people think it is safe to leave a child home alone?

My oldest daughter is 13 and many of her friends spend long periods at home alone, particularly in the school holidays when their parents work.

We have only recently left her in the house for 20-30minutes while I run a local errand. Am I being over cautious?

Also at what age would it be ok to let her watch her younger siblings (aged 8+10) She says lots of her friends do this and she said she wants to have a try. She is trying to talk us into having a date night at a local cafe 4 minutes down the road.

I would really love to hear other mothers opinions,

	Thanks, Gina.

Let's face it. Most guys just do not blog. It's definitely a woman's blog world. But every now and again, I see a husband blogging like Chup for example (loved the post on magnets, I'm going to have to surprise my husband sometime with some). Sometimes I can tell that the poor guy has been pushed prodded by his wife to post and sometimes you can tell that his post is all about him.

Wondering what do you think? Do you like the different voice or would just rather have another recipe or craft posted? My husband is an engineer and blogs about NY Times articles and Ute football. Oh soo him. :)

	Hi to everyone!

A long time ago, cjane linked a blog in one of her blog written by a mother of a little girl with health problems. If I do remember it properly, their daughter was living in some kind of hospital, not at home. They are a family from New Jersey or somewhere close. I am not talking about The Mom by Ruth Schultz, it's another one.

I would like to read the blog again, but I wasn't able to find it though cjane's blog archives, so I would apreciate if someone knows the blog I'm talking about to tell me tha link to it.

	Thank you.

So, I'm having a giveaway on my blog this week that is such a great gift idea, I wanted to share it. They are customized clocks that are gorgeous! The one she's giving away on my blog is an $89.99 value and it's completely customizable. (For you LDS girls, she also has some ready made temple ones that are amazing!) She's also offering a 25% discount to my readers, even on gift cards. I think I'm gonna pick up a gift card now at the discount, then wait around for a sale to use it during to get the clock I want. (I think last month she had a 50% off sale!) I just thought this would make an awesome gift idea, especially for parents who are typically hard to buy for! Here's the link if you're interested!

	Hello everybody,

That's right, Leanne and I have decided to tweak the appearance of The WAHM Solution. Although we really liked our old look, we decided that it didn't exactly fit The WAHM Solution the way we originally wanted it to. I know a lot of you have already downloaded the free ebook, but take a look at it anyways. Would love feedback too. Hope you like it.

After all, serious bloggers, got to be tough, diligent, interesting, cool, and of course a little "bad to the bone" to be able to do all that on a regular basis!! Right now it is only $18.00 and comes on a 20" chain ready to wear. I will be wearing one, how about you. I can post pics of all the 'club members' wearing their 'bones'!! So email me directly if you want to join the club!! Sandy@TobyandMax.com.

So here's the story. My husband and I live in the High Uintahs of Utah (aka no neighbors or playgrounds or playgroups excluding the local doe & fawn :) ). My one and only child is a 13 month old girl. As the temperatures plummet and the snow drifts get bigger I'm a little worried about cabin fever.

Any great indoor activites or games to entertain a very active 12-18 month old? It gets pretty nippy up here so outdoor time will be limited. Really, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We can only read so many books and play chase so many times. Thanks in advance for your help!

Can anyone tell me where to find the itty bitty baby hair bows that Cjane has talked about? You know the ones that you need to use Elmers glue or KY Jelly to keep them on baby's head.

I am looking everywhere and can't find them.

	Thanks!!

Apparently you can now buy them in gift cards at Target - and rumor has it that although Facebook Credits are a big part of Paypal's business today, one day they could replace Paypal altogether... What do you think? Do you buy them now? Will you? Would you consider using something besides your credit card or Paypal to shop online?
