Proverbs 23:12 - "Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.  Years ago after reading this scripture, I began to really apply this to my life. This came at a time when my life was in the midst of many changes.  There were many times when all I wanted was to become a human sponge, soaking up and absorbing all I could of God's precious words. It's amazing how God brings us closer to Him. Sometimes we have to go thru trying times (job changes, empty nest, Hurricane Katrina, again job changes, menopause and many more).  Hopefully I will hear back from others who will share stories.  BE (be encouraged)!
