Missing my sister so much today

Started by Carolyn 7/19/2012 8:51:15 PM

Just lost my sister on Saturday, she went in to have her gallbladder out.  I'm so lost without her.  The surgery was to make her feel better, not take her away from us.

Oh, Carolyn, I'm so sorry.  You must be devastated, and just reeling from shock.  My sister Debbie died when I was just 15- she had a headache, went to work, was in a coma by noontime and they took her off of life support 24 hours later.  It's such a shock, and so much heartbreak.  Please know I will be praying for you and sending comfort to you and your loved ones.

Oh Carolyn,

I'm so sorry for you and your family.  I lost my sister several years ago. The pain has been very gradually replaced by wonderful memories of her. I wish the same for you.

Carolyn (and Brett and Jan),

I am so, so sorry. Grief sucks and there is no easy way around it....only through it. I wish for some peace for you in the upcoming times.

If you can or want to share more, I'd really like to know about how gall bladder removal can end like this?

Brett and Jan, my heart hurt knowing your perspective as a sibling. My son can write those words as his sister (my daughter) died. Such a horrible thing to have attached to who you are. I still and always will wonder how his life would would have been different had Olivia not passed away.

Hugs and comfort to each and every one of you amazing ladies! As someone who's sister is also her best friend, the thought of a minute without her makes me nauseous. Loss is always a devastating thing and although I've always believed time doesn't heal all wounds, it does make things easier.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sisters are very special and irreplaceable. I hope that the sadness you feel right now is soon replaced with smiles from beautiful memories time cannot erase.

Today makes 2 months since I lost my dear sister, I miss her so much. After this, three weeks later my oldest sister that lives in FL, was diagnosed with cancer, I live 12 hours away from her. She has started her radiation and chemo. I would ask that you guys keep her in your prayers and my family.
