My perfect backyard oasis... #SummerwithSears

Started by Brett , author of This Mama Loves | CT Mom Blogger | Reviews, Giveaways, Crafts, Recipes 6/25/2012 7:00:10 AM

We have a wonderful backyard.  It's large, we have a pool, a large patio, and a ton of room to have a large garden, blueberry bushes, and a great play area for the kids.

But our backyard is far from an oasis (so far).  The patio needs to be redone (eventually) and honestly, it's frequently got the few chairs we have pushed aside for the kids to ride bikes and scooters on.

In a dream world, I'd be sitting in a hot tub under a nice, fabric gazebo...with a nice table and chairs nearby...and there'd be a large hammock for me (or anyone) to enjoy.

In reality, I'm knee deep in scooters, sidewalk chalk and pushing swings.  I guess I'd not have it any other way...at least for right now.  But I think there's some room at the end of the day for a little backyard oasis for the adults, don't you?

What do you think we should do to make our yard have a bit more of an "oasis" feel and not just a playground feel?  (Pleasesayhottubpleasesayhottub)

We added a deck, and it really went a long way to making our backyard a great place to hang out! Thanks for the giveaway!

My Needs are for my Brother's home since he lives near me and I help with his child care. His needs are basic, privacy fencing, and a swing-set. Will simple to care for landscaping. Right now he has nothing as fare as landscaping.

My must-have is a gardener, a landscaper, and someone to mow my lawn! I can't stand yardwork but love a nice yard so it would be wonderful to hire the work out and enjoy the beauty.

I just need a backyard to call my own first.  Being a renter has its downfalls but for your back yard you should get a table with umbrella, nice outdoor seating furniture, if you like fires there are some really fun and nice looking ones available in various stores.
