Custom HTML Tabs headers

Hey there people!

Today I managed to create my own social media icons bar and added in the hotspots in Dreamweaver. I then pasted the HTML from Dreamweaver into an HTML gadget on my blog. This worked fine - yay!

I then created my own custom tabs bar to sit underneath my blog banner, again adding in the hotspots in Dremweaver and copying and pasting the HTML from there into a HTML gadget on my blog. I re positioned the bar to sit under the header. This also worked fine - yay!!

The problem was this: the links from the tabs header seemed to leak over into my social media icons bar.

Basically, if the social media icons are on the blog on their own they work fine.

Once I add the tabs bar at the top of the blog the social media icons link to the same links from the tabs bar automatically.

The tabs bar still functions fine.

Is there some magic piece of code missing that would prevent that from happening?

Does anyone know what I am talking about?!?!

Here's the link to my blog:

(Only the social media icons are on there now - standard blogger page tabs in place).

If anyone can provide me with the fix for this I would be so very grateful - my custom tabs bar was so pretty!!

Sarah

No :( the tabs you see are the ordinary blogger tabs. What I wanted to do was import my own tabs header (made in dreamweaver). But whenever I put it into my blog it works but it also stop my social media icons from working. I am sure those who earn a living doing such things know how to fix it but telling me for free probably won't help their business!!
