Tone Matters When Traing a Dog

Started by Christine , author of PawPrints Upon My Heart 2/29/2012 5:16:33 PM

My dog is a full blooded Lab and I've noticed a huge difference since I've gotten her back on how well she is training. It is a difference of night and day. So I want to know if you have trained your dog do you notice a difference in their behaviors because of your tone?

I did take my dog to training class. It made a huge difference.  In the animal world, dogs are the best at reading human faces.

I think it depends on the dog Kim. I had a lab who I recently had to give away and she couldn't hardly get the commands. She did her best to do right but end the end it wasn't working. I hate that! :)

Yup all my dogs respond to tones but also sign language and body language.

Candice that is cool that your dog knows sign language commands. I've seen it in action but have never learned them. MMM? Maybe something I should investigate. Thanks for joining my page! :) I also have a facebook page too in case you are interested. :)
