I can easily find myself overwhelmed with all I need to do and
responsibilities. My husband and I have a small motel/bed and
brekfast that can keep us very busy. I also work outside part time
as a nurse, and am volunteer EMT for our location fire
department.
I use lists alot... ; it keeps me focused on doing what has
highest priority. Otherwise I flit from one thing to another
without finishing anything! ... also helps when sit down at the end
of the day and cross off items on the list. I get a feeling of
accomplishment. Rarely do I get everything crossed off.
When I start to feel that overwhelmed in the pit of my stomach I
sit myself down, deep breaths and remember one thing at a time. And
do not look beyond that one thing I am working on right at that
moment.
