Hello No Non-cents Nanna Community:) You may remember my last conversation titled "Drinking Soda is Drinking Acid?" I thought it would definitely be a good ice-breaker subject...lol...& it was. I got a lot of feedback & questions. Thank you for responding.

This time, I wanted to officially introduce myself & share a link to our Press Release http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/5/prweb9447846.htm.

My husband, Stacy, & I are so excited to share our pH Body Balance concept with you & hope that you will seek us out when looking for health options & disease prevention methods on your journey to leading a pH Life.

I look forward to meeting you & sharing, chatting, & learning:)

Yours in Balance, Nic

Hi Malika:)  Thanks for your interest...here is the soda/acid conversation:

Drinking Soda is Drinking Acid! Started by pH Life: Stacy & Nicole , author of Building Balance Blog4/7/2012 12:43:38 PM

DID YOU KNOW: It takes 32 glasses of alkaline water to neutralize the acid in ONE 12 oz. can of soda? Before I started studying about pH Body Balance, I drank diet cherry pepsi all day...& I'd never eaten a fruit. Yes, that's right...I had never had a fruit in my mouth. And, I don't think strawberry poptarts count:) Then, I read this & decided it was time to find a different beverage & a different diet. I like to explain this concept it in terms of checking the chemicals in a pool; when the pH is out of balance, bacteria grows & the pool becomes murky/dirty. But, when you give the pool the chemicals it needs to bring it back to balance, it becomes crystal clear & pure. Our body chemistry works the same way. When we are acidic, we our open to disease & infection, but when we give our body what it needs to bring it back to an alkaline state, we are balanced & healthy. Building Balance isn't easy, but is there anything more important than your health?

Visit www.yourpHlife.com/what-is-ph & learn more about the signs & symptoms of an overly acidic body. How much soda do you drink? Or should I say: how much soda are you going to give up?

Hi again Malika:)  To answer your 2nd question:

One of the main reasons pH is low in soda is because of the phosphoric acid. Phosphoric acid lowers the pH levels in our bodies to what is known as “chronic” levels. Not full-blown metabolic acidosis, but enough of a drop in pH that causes our body’s defense systems to go into overdrive to rebalance. This rebalancing causes our systems to rob alkaline minerals from our bones, teeth, muscles, and body fluids to help gain the vital blood pH balance of 7.35 – 7.45. While your body is thieving from itself, your cells are being inundated with acids; this makes them unable to receive and use the proper levels of oxygen. (Alkaline solutions absorb oxygen, acidic solutions repel it). Our bodies thrive in an oxygenated state, using it to produce the energy we need for everything that takes place in and out of our body: your heart beat, the thoughts you are having right now as you read this, the bike ride you took earlier...oxygen is mainly responsible for all of it. Drinking soft drinks (full-sugared or diet, doesn’t matter!) robs us of our sustained energy levels, our needed minerals, and our long-term good health! It just doesn’t make sense to drink something so harmful!  We highly recommend drinking lots of water & considering our amazing concentrated mineral drop: pH Thrive. www.yourpHlife.com/pHThrive.  If you haven't taken our pH quiz, that might be interesting for you as well www.yourpHlife.com/pHquiz.  It tells you more about your internal chemistry.  I'd love to know your score:)  Nic
