Awesome Blog Facebook Pages

Started by Jennifer , author of Hip As I Wanna Be 3/22/2012 7:31:45 AM

It seems like many bloggers, both newbie and experienced get flummoxed when it comes to a blog Facebook page. No one wants to use it as just a second RSS feed, right?

Good blog Facebook pages generally seem to have a great sense of community and dare I say... purpose?

One blogger that I specifically thing "does it well" is Scary Mommy - http://www.facebook.com/thescarymommy (Warning - some profanity.)

I'd love to hear of other pages that you admire. Leave some great ones in your comments below!

I am one of those that is just floored and a little spooked to have a FB page! Not sure why, but until my blog is redesigned in April...I just am not sure what direction my over all look is going! I guess everyone has to learn at some point!

How did you ladies create your page cover?

One I love is Roo's from Nice Girl Notes.  It's so interactive!  This chick asks a question and her community gets to talking!

i second dumb mom on that one.. roo is KILLING it on there. she is the quintessential "unmarketer". her readers feel like they have a certain ownership of her blog along with her because of how active she is on facebook. girl don't even NEED twitter... honest.

@jennifer and @jenny i used the tutorial from Beth @ Home Stories A to Z to create mine. it was really easy with picnik- but hurry, before picnik is gone! http://www.homestoriesatoz.com/2012/01/how-create-facebook-timeline-cover-photo-template.html

I don't know a thing about designing, so I just used my blog header for my facebook fan page.  I'm not sure I like the new timeline format.  What about you all?

For picnik fans, you can use picmonkey.com  It's really easy to use!

Stop by my facebook fan page and leave me your links.  Always looking to connect with more bloggy friends!
