Camping means different things to different people. Not only are there different types of camping, but there are also lots of different outdoor activities to choose from on your camping trip.

Perfect day...hmm...is there such a thing...LOL...for us (and our camping buddy family) we have 6 kids in the group under 8 so any day is great if they dont get hurt! Ending the day with a campfire...kids in tents by 10 and the adults enjoying some fun time around the fire! (oh and no rain)!

A morning breakfast of pancakes, having them made for us at a KOA is ideal.  A day of hiking, maybe throwing a ball around and then swimming and rafting when we get hot.  Of course the night time is filled with hot dogs, stories and SMORES!!!

Oh and the kids not trying to kill each other...that would be nice too.

up early get some fishing in, quick breakfast and then some swimming. Kids had so much fun they are tired at dinner time and then some great food grilled on open fire. Followed by fun stories around fire

Camping beside a creek the kids can play in, sitting back in my lawn chair with my coffee while the kids play, camping with close friends who have kids all the same age, and then some short toddler-friendly hikes. That's my perfect camping trip. And no puking in the tent. That has to be added.

Relaxing. Maybe a hike or fishing.

For me, coffee I the morning by campfire is a must and a day without whining from the kids would be perfection!

Any day camping is a great day. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to include coffee in the morning. Then watching the kids just be kids and have fun, and then maybe a hike with a lunch break at the top of a hill/mountain.

Waking up beside the lake, going for a swim when you first wake up, beautiful sunshine, not a cloud in the sky, happy, smiling kiddos, knowing you can wake up tomorrow and do it all again. Added you to my blogroll... love your site. Would love it if you'd follow me :) http://wedratherbecamping.blogspot.com

About 70 degrees, pancakes for breakfast. Hike in the morning, sandwiches for lunch on the hike. An afternoon of Frisbee golf and steaks on the grill. Of course I'm with Dan and have to have s'mores for dessert!

Finally, a clear night for star gazing.

A perfect day at camping? Camping lakeside and waking up slowing in the quiet dawn with the call of the loon, enjoying a cup of coffee while taking photos of the mist over the lake... then happy chaos as the rest of the family awakes and the fun begins - hiking, kayaking, playing on the beach, picnic lunch. Dinner cooked over the campfire, an evening stroll and a quick and easy bedtime for our son while we enjoy watching the stars come out.
