How hot is it where you are?

This is not camping weather, it is WAY too hot around here, 100-110 degree highs most days.

Do you have any tips on how to make camping more bearable at unusually warm temps??  Well, other than renting a cabin - cabins are great this time of year!  We went on a mini-outing last weekend and brought TONS of water - wished there were pools and cabins where we were at (there was nothing but massive ranches in the west Texas region we were in).

We've been hovering around 100-105 with the humidex. We are supposed to get rain today though, and I'm hoping it does!

I think we hit 105 this past week.  We got some rain yesterday which has cooled us down a little. My back porch is a cool 98 degrees right now. WoooHooo!

Right now we are on vacation in Maryland. It is hotter here than in Florida. I don't camp in the heat. I'd rather deal with cold than hot because you can always pile on more blankets, but you can only take so many off!

I live in Colorado and it has been very hot here as well.  I can't compare 105 in Colorado to 105 in Texas though.  It is completely different!  We camp almost every weekend, but we stay in our RV.  I love my A/C:)

I think it was about 97 here in NYC the other day - that is just crazy hot for the city!  My only tip for camping in the heat is water - lots and lots of cold water.  We drink it, spray it on each other - but when it gets this hot, not much you can do.  On the plus side - you can make S'mores without a campfire!

It has been so hot here I stepped on my driveway barefoot yesterday to pull some weeds and couldn't stay on it. It literally burned my foot. When I took my daughter to the pool she couldn't hold on to the metal railing to get into the pool. I had to carry her down the steps. Need relief! I don't even want to go to the beach. We are trying to stay in air conditioning. I like your web site. I found you through Blog Frog. I have found lots of great sites that way. Come take a look at my site at www.ezpregnancytest.com. I will check back from time to time and see what great conversations you have going. :)
