Camping with pets

Started by Sheri , author of Kidsumers 6/14/2012 7:16:05 AM

Since we don't have an RV, we go tenting. I know that it is fine to have a dog at most campsites, but our dog has a vacation at my parent's house whenever we go away, because he doesn't like to sleep in the tent, or outside (he's a bit of a princess). Do you take your pets camping with you?

We have an RV, so it is different for us.  We talk all 5 of our little fur babies along with us.  It is why we purchase a travel trailer.  I love traveling with them:)

Yes, we too have a RV which helped us bring our 3 furboys with us. 3 cats. We love having them with us and they don't mind traveling.

We take our dog camping. She's a real ham just lays around and adds lots more fun to camping . As a Bernese mountain dog she gets a lot of attention there not a very common breed.  I have had other campers take her for a walk because they miss there dog. One time she slipped and took a nose dive on the beach into the water it was hilarious.  Everyone on the beach laughed. Good times.   My wife always says she's not just a pet she's a family member.
