Capturing Memories with Photos

Started by Laurie , author of Guessing all the Way 6/14/2012 1:32:07 AM

When you go camping, do you bring your camera along with you?  I love taking as many pictures as I can while I am camping.  It seems like there is always something to snap a photo of while you are outdoors.

What is the coolest picture you have had a chance to take while camping?

I bring my camera EVERYWHERE, lol. It's the blogger in me, but I usually have 1 or 2 cameras with me as well as my smartphone, so I can never miss a shot. My favourite camping pictures have always been candid shots of my children just having fun.

I use to bring my camera everywhere, but now I'm paranoid of damaging my lenses!

I've been using my iphone more and more to take pictures, and while they aren't as great as the one's I take with my camera, they aren't bad!

I am always in the backwoods taking pics with all my camera gear- yes I take all the heavy stuff.

I took a picture of a bear eating a shish kebab- the people were harassing the bear. The bear got shot after after being habituated so quickly to the food!

Here is my true story and a picture of the shish kebab bear. A good lesson for all as this is the beginning of the camping season.

Karen, What a sad story.  I hate to see when animals are killed because of something we do.  I am glad you shared this story as a reminder to keep wildlife wild.

I waited so many years for a trailer, that I can't help but take a picture of it in every RV Park I visit  I have to record the space We  had so I can remember it.

Yep, I like taking photos as well.  I have a D-SLR which I love, but depending on the trip, I don't always feel comfortable lugging it around.  We do also have small point and shoot cameras that we use.

We have got some great photos of wildlife, but my favorites are when you just capture that moment when the kids are in pure joy...not a care in the world.  Ah, to be a kid again!

Judy, I need to start doing that.  I never even thought of that before, but what a great idea.

Dan, I couldn't agree more.  I love the pictures of my kiddos covered in dirt and looking like they are having the best time. Candid shots are the best:)  I wish I could start time going backwards too.  I miss not having a care in the world.

I always bring my camera with me. It is pretty small and easy to carry around.  I like to take pictures of the kids and wildlife as well.

Since I have been blogging, I have been taking more closeups of flowers. They turn out kind of nice.  And now I take pictures of food-- isn't that crazy?  My husband makes fun of me when I see a great looking piece of grilled salmon and I have to run for my camera.
