Bugs

Started by Debbie 6/13/2012 9:56:39 AM

I received this tip from my sister-in-law and it really works.  Fill a zip lock bag with water and 5 or 6 shinny pennies and hang it in the doorway of the rv.  It has kept flies and flying bugs out of the trailer.  I have a 3 year old grandson (as well as adult males) who don't know how to shut the screen door.  I don't know how this works but it does.

I'm going to try this at my house! My kids can't shut the door either.

I HATE BUGS!  There I said it.  This sounds incredible - I wonder how it works???  Thanks for the tip!

Sounds like a clever idea. We always camp when it is cold to avoid bugs, but a bag of water and pennies seems a lot easier!

This is getting me going- I need to figure out why pennies and bugs don't mix!

Huh. I'll have to try that on my house.  The kids are always leaving the door open, as they're in and out all day.

I watched a Myth-Busters episode a while back that busted the bag of water myth, but putting change in it is a new twist.....
