On February 6th, I turned 39 years old. Thirty.nine. That infamous age that people 40 and over always claim to be. Next year is the big 4-0. I have health challenges already in my young life, anxiety, prone to depression, back issues and skin issues. I don't want to go down hill from here on out, I have 3 kids to raise and a life with my husband to live, I need to be healthy!
My 3 kids are involved in activities that keep them moving and keeping their body healthy. They dance, play soccer, play baseball, and are active at school every single day. What is my excuse? I have none. I have 6 hours of ME time each day that I can fill with some sort of exercise.
I'm joining the MapMyFitness Quaker Challenge where women are challenged to do 15 fitness activities in 30 days. While my daughter is at soccer practice, I can use 30 minutes of that time to walk the track around her field. While my son is at baseball practice, another 30 minutes of walking can be done. While my kids are at school, I can work up a sweat on Wii Just Dance for 2 or 3 songs. There's 75 minutes, and all that can be done each day! If I can do it, so can you.
Joining the MapMyFitness Quaker Challenge is my first step towards becoming a healthier me. Now I’m curious to know, what motivates you to stay healthy?
