Luck of the Irish! Win a Keurig & Year's Supply of International Delight!

I never would classify myself as someone who is lucky. My husband and I often joke that bad luck follows us. We've experienced a lot of hard ship, loss, and difficulties but one thing that left me broken was being told last May that after 4 years of fertility treatments we would never have another child. That is just wasn't possible.

When I was younger I was told my chances of having children would be slim and I'd have a long hard journey but as a teen it wasn't something that really effected me. Then I had Johnny completely unplanned and ON birth control. A few years later his father and I talked to a specialist about getting pregnant again and was told just a short list of things that we'd have to start doing and decided to wait. Little did we know we weren't going to be waiting at all. Just a couple months later we were pregnant again- unplanned.

For someone who was told there was a chance of never having kids I was doing pretty good without even trying. Then a few years ago we spoke to a specialist after trying with no success. We started the process and before long we were years in of treatment plans, drugs, injections, you name it. Last May I was told there was nothing left for them to try. Our chances to have another child were gone and I needed to move on.

My heart ached. Literally.

I felt broken and cried over and over again. Hubby started talking about our future and started making non-baby plans. By the time the 4th of July rolled around I was accepting that we couldn't have more kids and started to embrace the plans we were making. It hurt but it needed to be done.

Then in August with no explanation we received this:

We were shocked. I took test after test and even with all the positives I still demanded a blood test out of disbelief. Luck was on our side and after years and years of trying little Sawyer will be here THIS MONTH!

Now, tell me about the last time good luck was on your side?

I shared on Facebook (Valerie Carozza) and Twitter @dragonfly777 My doctor told me after the birth of my daughter that he'd personally pray for me if I ever were to become pregnant again....Well I changed docs and had a fairly tough second pregnancy, but, have a beautiful healthy son....and I'm fine :)

I shared on Facebook. Luck was on my side when my husband was able to switch jobs this year. He's now home every night for dinner and home on weekends. It's a huge blessing to our family!

I think the last time Luck was on my side was when we were able to purchase a safer car last year for our family. Our previous vehicle had what I called a "ghost" in it. It would randomly lose power while driving or refuse to start at all. The dealership said they couldn't pinpoint the problem unless it did it while on their machine so I stuck with a vehicle that at any moment could just stop working. My son still had his feeding tube and being stranded was not ideal. Very happy with my newer car. Congrats on Sawyer. We tried for two years after my husbands hernia surgery and once we stopped trying, my surprise of our only son came along.

Luck was on our side after giving birth to my daughter Sophia. I got pregnant by surprise after the 1 year anniversary of my stillborn son, I was just in shock and so afraid that I was going to endure the same pain of stillbirth. But my Sophie was born healthy, premature but healthy. Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for such an amazing miracle. We were truly blessed!!!

i shared on Facebook(chelesa sims) tweeted(chelesa12) I am lucky to have found my husband who changed my life. I found myself almost 11 years in despair i had lost everything .from money to my home and everything in between. My husband while it may not seem like a person could change your life he had. I tried to commit suicide but it didn't work. He made me realize that i was important and things can change and gave me the inner strength that i thought i didn't have.Well to take it on a shorter version ,we have had our ups and downs from going from very little to now a little more stable and a beautiful daughter and handsome son. Dreams do come true ! so those out there that feel they cant get to the end of the rainbow .It does come ,the pot is there you just have to find your way.

I've invited friends on FB. Luck was on my side when I barely missed getting in an accident recently. :)
