Trouble printing an invitation

Started by Clarissa 8/3/2012 1:52:44 AM

Hi everyone,

I am new to my memories. So far I love what I can create with it. I made a 5x7 invitation for my daughter's 1st birthday and am wanting to print it. When I go to print it I change the paper size to 5x7 and stick a 5x7 invite in the printer. When it prints it shrinks it down a bit and has a white border all the way around it. I am wanting it to print all the way to the edge of the paper just like it looks when I created it in MMSV3. Can anyone help me please? I saw on another conversation that I might need to export it to a jpeg and then print it but I am still having the same issue. I hope I can get this resolved soon because I need to send out the invites this weekend.

Thank you

Clarissa (mommy in despair)

Hi Clarissa,

Create the 5x7 invitation in the MMS software by choosing "design your own" and selecting the custom size button and typing in 5x7. After you finish your layout, under "File" "Page Setup" set all the page margins to 0. It should print an exact 5x7 to the edge without a white border around it. Hope this helps.

Hi Roberta thank you for the information. I went into my invitation I created and looked under File. There isn't a page setup option, just a printer setup option. Is this because I have MMSV3 and not another version?

No Clarissa, I have the same version. Under "File" it should say toward the bottom of the list: Page Setup then Printer then Print. The Page Setup option will give you an option to change the margins. There is also a "print the album" icon on the toolbar. If you click that, on the bottom left is a button labled "page setup". That will do the same thing. I should mention this in on a PC not a Mac. I don't own a Mac to know how to do it on that. Sorry if my reply was confusing.

Clarissa. You should also check your printer settings. It needs to be set to Print to edge or full bleed or borderless, depending on your printer.
