Blending Technique or Blending Templates

Started by Sandy 1/18/2012 7:46:48 AM

I've seen a blending technique on other sites using blending mask templates.  Is there something like this with MMS.  I think it is a beautiful effect.  Thanks

Sorry Sandy, As far as I know there is no blending technique.  MMS is a scrapbooking program that uses the kits be designers and it dies not do the editing and creating that Photo Shop Elements or some of the other programs do.  Some of us use PSE to create or edit and save it as a PNG and then import it to MMS.  Hope this helps

Happy Scrappin'!!

Sandy, while what Linda says above is true, there are a couple designers who do make masks that can be used in MMS  (Albums to Remember and Indigo Design).  While you can't change to colors in MMS from what the designer has in the kits, you can add elements on top of the page.  These masks are so easy to use in MMS as you just add the picture on top of the mask, make sure it covers the mask entirely and then just send the picture back.  There is a freebie by Albums To Remember found here http://www.mymemories.com/store/display_product_page?id=ARBP-EP-1107-4996  Barb from Albums to Remember has the instructions printed on the preview.  You might want to check them out.  Here's an example also of Indigo Designs http://www.mymemories.com/store/display_product_page?id=IDJB-AT-1201-10759

Here's another example of Albums To Remember with sample layouts.

Hope that helps.

I am so confused!  I am trying to use the Mix and Mask product that I just purchased and my photo will not show up inside of the mask!  Is there a "how to" on how to use these masks?  I figured it would be just like using a frame.

HELP!

Shawn, which particular mask is it that you used?  Give us a name of the kit or link so we can check it out.  There are only certain ones that will work with MMS as stated above.  The other masks that are in png form need to be used by using a program that will "clip" the mask and photo together like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

Most of them that can be used in MMS say something like so easy to use.  Just add a photo and send it backward.  THOSE are the ones that can be used in MMS.

I figured it out!  I had to take the mask that I purchased at MMS and do some work in Photoshop to add it to the photo and then save that as a file I could add to my scrapbook.  I did a couple quick videos to show others how I did it . . .
