Thank goodness the warmer seasons are upon us! Nothing like a good long winter to make you want to get out and get moving! It may be tempting to send our kids outside and let them burn off some energy, but have you ever considered joining them? Many of us have goals to get in better shape (it goes hand in hand with eating right), and we all struggle to get motivated to begin or continue an exercise program. Have you ever considered getting active and burning those extra calories by doing things you may not even think of as "exercise"? Here's some thoughts:
climb up and down stairs, roller skating, shoot hoops, gardening, turn up music and dance, vacuum/mop floors, throw a frisbee, wash dishes, avoid sitting to watch TV, play hopscotch, jump rope, laugh...
These are just some ideas to get you going. What all can you do to get up and be active?
