Strawberry Season

It's strawberry season here in Florida. The grocery stores have great prices so this is the best time of year for making strawberry jam.

What is your favorite way to eat strawberries?

Hi, thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving a lovely comment.  No Fejoas are not Guavas. I have a feeling NZ might be the only place in th world to grow fejoas, this is what they look like:

 This is the fruit and the flower before fruiting.  They do look similar to a Guava I guess when you cut them open but they don't have those hard pips in them. The whole centre is very fleshy and yummy. I think I might have to put a recipe together and maybe adapt it so you could use either Guava or Fejoa.  Apparently they are known as the Pinneaple Guava (google research), but never heard of this term in New Zealand.
