I'm Meredith and although you may have gotten here through my blog, maybe some day others will get here in other ways too :)  I'm a Christian, wife, and mother of 6-- almost 7 or maybe even 8.

My husband, Michael, and I have three biological children and three adopted and are in the midst of an international adoption where one- maybe two- more special needs kiddos will join our family.

Our children are Emma (7), Kristopher (6), Brianna (4), James (4), Micah (4), and Lynae (1).  We hope to add Wesley (5) and possibly Aleksa (8) to our family soon.  

Four of our children have Down syndrome, as does Aleksa, and Wesley as well as one of our kids with Ds has Cerebral Palsy.

We are in the US, in Central Florida.

Hi, I'm June, I'm a christian, wife and Mom.  I'm a RN, but have not worked for 10 years d/t a disability.  Now I get to take care of my family full time and be more active in the lives of others.  I have a step dtr., Michelle-35, bio dtr. Amanda-25, bio son PJ (Pasquale)-21, domestically adopted son Joseph-13, internatlonally adopted dtr. Anah-13 and internationally adopted son Jonathan-4.

PJ is an insulin dependent diabetic since age 11, Joseph has ADHD/ODD, Anah has DS and autism, Jonathan has DS and sensory issues.  Our oldest three children went through the public school system, Joseph is homeschooled, Anah goes to a private school for children with developmental disabilities and for now Jonathan is at home and has PT, OT, ST and music therapy 11 times/week.

As you can imagine life is never dull, but I wouldn't change it for the world!  I'm blessed with a wonderful husband who is retired from the US Navy and stays home, so together we raise our children and live and love life!  We live in western NY on Lake Ontario.

Most notably, I'm a follower of Christ Jesus.  I'm a husband to the greatest woman and best mom in the world.  I'm the dad to 8 fabulously wonderful kids (with one "on the way").

We've got 4 "normal" bio kids, 1 bio kid with Down syndrome, and 3 adopted kids with Down syndrome.   Our "on the way" kid has Down syndrome and hirschsprung's disease.  

Our lives are an amazing adventure with all kinds of twists and turns.  But...we're always on the lookout for where God is working so we can join Him!

I'm a worship minister at First Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma.  Additionally, my wife and I started and run an adoption ministry called Eli Project.  I'm also currently a member of the dossier preparation team for Reece's Rainbow.

Glad to 'see' you guys here :)  I hope you (and the others that have joined and not yet intro'd themselves!) will join in the conversation and start your own topics as well!

My Name is Jamie Garcia and I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I am a mom to one gift named Lucille and hope to adopt one day. My husband is a follower of Jesus as well, but he "doesn't feel called" to adopt, so this is being subjected to much prayer by he and I. I've let God write my motherhood story since we faced significant obstacles to having our family for over 2 years before becoming pregnant with Lucy. My prayer and hope is that my husband's heart would be transformed so we can follow God's instruction.  I am a SAH mom and I run a boarding kennel for dogs that is on our land here in MD. My husband works as a cabinet maker in a small factory. I also participate in animal rescue, although I am finishing up and reducing to start saving for God's calling on our lives, mission work-not sure where but He is definitely calling us. I'm Mel.  Wife of John for 17 years.  I am a Christian (former minister).  We have three bio kids, Joe is 15 and had Asperger's Syndrome, Kati is 13 and Olivia is 4.5.  We just brought home our little guy, Timothy who will be 5 in February, he has Down Syndrome.  We are "done"... well, unless God tells us different.  LOL
